While reviews of the game were mixed at launch, many could agree on one point - Destiny is a stunning, stunning game. Bungie's experience in creating sci-fi worlds is evident throughout with stunning vistas, intricate architecture and beautiful skyboxes creating worlds players were eager to dive into. Think back to when the beta was first launched; were people discussing the pros and cons of the gameplay? Retelling their adventures on Old Earth? No, because they were all too busy taking screenshots of their character in front of that incredible view from atop the Tower. Many games nowadays come with an option to turn off the Heads Up Display, allowing players to experience the sights in a full, unobscured manner - with Destiny proving to be a popular spot for gaming tourists, surely it makes sense to implement a similar feature? It might not be the most important of features but long time Destiny fans would still appreciate the option. Bungie could even introduce screenshot or video clip competitions, rewarding the player who captures an area or event best with exotic gear. With social interaction becoming far more prominent in gaming, Destiny can really make a statement of intent by encouraging players to capture their beautiful worlds and share them publicly.
I have an addiction to achievements, a craving for new bands and a dream to become Captain America. I once finished second in a Mario Kart 7 tournament so I'm kind of a big deal.
