As the main social hub of Destiny, Guardians will find themselves in the Tower a lot: whether it's to collect bounties, decrypt Engrams or meeting up with friends, pretty much every session of Destiny begins there. It's a shame then that there's very little to actually do in the Tower. There's some intriguing social activities - like a ball to kick about and a weird fan on top of the postmaster's shack, but aside from that, very little else. Interestingly, it also seems that the Tower isn't fully opened yet. One area only opens up during limited time events and there's another door that seems to be hiding something from players; perhaps a future expansion will open the area up? Regardless, the Tower is designed to be a meeting point for players before they go off on adventures; a few more quirky activities might convince more players to stick around for a bit longer. A platforming area where Guardians could practice their jumping skills and mess about a bit would be a nice touch, for example. The weekly hunt for Xur shows just how much fun silly activities in the Tower can be; if Bungie embraces it, the Tower's role as a social hub will be improved drastically.
I have an addiction to achievements, a craving for new bands and a dream to become Captain America. I once finished second in a Mario Kart 7 tournament so I'm kind of a big deal.
