5. More Incentive To Explore Solo Content
Destiny's single player issues are well documented by now; the lack of variety in missions and non-existent story rubbed players the wrong way from day one. Those issues will take time to sort out though and will probably have to be re-explored in a large scale expansion. What Bungie can do right now is give players more incentive to explore and complete the single player content. One playthrough the game will reward players with new Sparrows and a few other items; replaying on a harder difficulty offers no rewards at all. Simply offering Engrams would be enough to convince some players to spend more time revisiting the solo missions; after all, these small instances are designed to be replayed in short doses. Why not reward players for doing so? Completing missions on a harder difficulty could also offer players increased reputation gains, giving them incentive to complete bounties during a harder challenge while also encouraging players to find some friends and group up; wasn't that one of Bungie's goals with Destiny? Right now, there's absolutely no reason to play through Destiny on a harder difficulty level. Adding a reward or bonus to completing the game more than once would give players something extra to do without the need to overhaul or add tons of new content.

I have an addiction to achievements, a craving for new bands and a dream to become Captain America. I once finished second in a Mario Kart 7 tournament so I'm kind of a big deal.
