10 Ways EA Can Vastly Improve FIFA’s Career Mode
8. Better Use Of Your Avatar In-Game
Yes, that is Newcastle United strutting out in the UEFA Champions League final, and no, we don't regret a thing. FIFA is all about stories after all; it's a game in which dreams come true, and the impossibilities of real life (like a Mike Ashley-led Toon Army reaching the pinnacle of European footy) come true.
EA have that bit nailed. Their title makes almost anything achievable. Well, apart from watching your custom-made gaffer lift the European Cup high above his head or drink champagne from the thing as he ponders how big an impact the Chairman's bonus will have on his bank account.
Why not?
The use of manager avatars is pretty woeful in FIFA 19. Though they do prowl the touchlines or celebrate goals, there's no sense of involvement when major trophies are won, and next-to-no tangible relationships with the players they lead to glory. It'd be a big improvement to Career if your manager had more of a presence across the game world.
