10 Ways EA Can Vastly Improve FIFA’s Career Mode
7. CPU Managers Come And Go Too
Is it only a matter of time before bedraggled Man Utd leader José Mourinho leaves Old Trafford behind and whinges to the media about Ed Woodward being a fool? Possibly. Will that ever happen in FIFA 19's recreation of every day football life? Never. In EA's game, the real deals don't get sacked, and they never manage new clubs.
That means Mou will be hanging around Utd like he's trying to top Alex Ferguson. A full 15 seasons deep, there he is, and he hasn't aged a day. Hmm, this needs changed.
It'd be much more realistic if the real-life managers in-game moved elsewhere, had struggles of their own or fancied taking some time out. Of course, EA have a bit of a nightmare on their hands here. They've licensed these managers, and it might take a bit of explaining when Pep Guardiola ditches Man City one year in to boss the Spanish national team.
Still, it seems essential to make Career Mode a living, breathing world that's ever-changing. If your manager can change clubs, then everyone else should be able to do the same too.
