10 Ways Rare Can Save Sea Of Thieves

1. New Weapons, Upgradeable Items & Weapon Mechanics

Sea Of Thieves
Rare

One of the weirdest parts of the game comes from accessing the "armory"... and seeing no more than two more guns available.

This is alongside the fact that - bafflingly - you can only hold a handful of bullets per gun, which only get refilled if you find an island with an ammo crate, or swim back to your ship. In quests where you're taking down anything with a sizeable health bar, it makes gunplay a complete slog.

Back to items, and though things like buckets, shovels and periscopes would be worth upgrading (holding more water, digging faster and looking farther/identifying islands with chests on respectively), there's nothing of the sort.

In a world as vast as Sea of Thieves - where the developers are treating it as a "platform of content" for things to be added across many months into the future - players need setups that approximate loadouts, provide incentives to keep going or otherwise reward them in ways that aren't just aesthetic.

Something gargantuan feels completely missing here, and it needs to be finished and implemented.
