10 Ways Rare Can Save Sea Of Thieves

9. Separate Playlists For Solo & Group Play

Sea of Thieves does include an option for solo and duo players, though you're essentially volunteering to be at a massive disadvantage, because you're in the same playlists as everyone else.

The offset is that the smaller ship is faster, but if you're ambushed on an island or in any way get on the receiving end of cannon fire, good luck patching up your little sloop fast enough to avoid going down.

Basically, Sea of Thieves needs balancing. Solo/duos should either be in completely separate servers, or introduce some "zoning" to the overworld so we know which parts of it are more treacherous. If larger groups only spawned in the south and solo/duo up north, the latter would know when they're venturing into riskier waters, whilst the former could perhaps see a ragtag fleet of players come together to fend them off.

Mix this with treasure that's worth greater amounts of gold the farther out your comfort zone you go, and we'd be onto a winner.
