Rocksteady are brilliant at giving potentially one-note characters huge amounts of depth in their games.

Not content to simply replicate the same depictions of DC characters that fans are used to, over the course of the Arkham trilogy the developers delved deeply into the psychology of their superheros and super-villains, both literally and figuratively.

Through dream sequences and terrifying hallucinations (usually thanks to Scarecrow's fear toxin), the studio brought the deepest fears of these characters to life in brilliantly imaginative gameplay sections.

While Rocksteady might not want to continue down the hallucination route so soon after Arkham Knight, it would be a mistake to drop these surreal psychological explorations of characters completely.

Getting an insight into Superman's head would go a long way in making the character feel relatable, while at the same time would give the developers the chance to play with creative ways of expressing this character's unique psyche through interesting gameplay twists.
