10 Ways To Make A Godzilla Video Game That Doesn't Suck

2. A Human Perspective

Although games based on Godzilla almost always put you in the role of the title monster, there is a ton of potential in playing a Godzilla game from the human perspective - providing it wasn't for the majority of the experience. It would put you in the eyes of people on the ground, which has never been done in a Godzilla game, or any video game about giant monsters for that matter. It€™s a really unique idea. Seeing a monster battle play out from the ground would be both immersive and terrifying. Now, no one wants to be restricted to playing as a human the entire time, so a great way to go about this is to split the game between Godzilla and a human protagonist, much in the way the Peter Jackson King Kong game did. Structuring a Godzilla game around this dual perspective would allow you to experience a story of global catastrophe from both sides. Playing as Godzilla would give you the thrill of being the monster, crushing cities and fighting other monsters in colossal battles, while being a human would allow you to experience the action from the perspective of mankind as they attempt to contain and survive the chaos. Both of these perspectives would be incredibly epic, and would highlight the contrast between the two sides. Switching back and forth between Godzilla and a human would also make the gameplay more fun and diverse, which would keep the game from every getting too repetitive. There is simply too much awesome potential in this concept not to see how brilliant it would be, and if done well it would make for an extremely memorable gaming experience that just happens to be about Godzilla.
