10 Ways To Make The Perfect Star Wars Video Game
6. Draw On Better Source Material/Create Proper Film Tie-Ins
Perhaps the saddest thing for any Star Wars fan with a penchant for video games, is we've never seen a faithful recreation/tie-in of the original trilogy, courtesy of their place in history. A New Hope was released as a painstakingly difficult platformer on the Game Boy but it's nowhere near enough when you think of the possibilities. After all, From Russia With Love finally saw a tie-in of sorts in 2005, despite the movie releasing in 1963.
Imagine a full on, immersive emulation of the original films and tell yourself that you aren't desperate to play as Han Solo during the Death Star escape or as Luke Skywalker exploring Dagobah during Jedi training. Hell, you'd even enjoy a short stint as Wicket the Ewok clunking Stormtroopers with rocks on Endor, wouldn't you?
A high definition recreation of the original trilogy must happen, and it needs to happen soon.
We've had all sorts of adventure/platformer style games as a byproduct of the prequels; we even got a racing game, but Empire would be a difficult game to put down when you think about it!
