10 Ways Watch Dogs 2 Is Already Better Than The Original

1. Seamless Multiplayer That's Fun & Unique (Without Being Mandatory)

Watch Dogs multiplayer showed plenty of promise, but delivered on a somewhat mixed experience. The Invasion mode was interesting, but never had the necessary variance in gameplay that was needed to keep players hooked. The other modes fared even worse, with none of them standing out amongst gamers. Watch Dogs 2 hopes to avoid that same fate and keep multiplayer relevant with co-op missions, easier player interaction, a refined Invasion mode, and a brand new Bounty Hunter mode.

Through the free-roam mode, players will be able to work together to take down enemy territory and cause chaos in any way they see fit through activities that emphasise player freedom. The new Bounty Hunter mode is the biggest addition, as it enables one to three players to hunt down a particular hacker that's causing too much chaos in the world, The Division-style. If they can take the troublemaker down, they each get a payment. However, if the hunted one can either escape or take down the hunters, they will reap even greater rewards.

The developers also wanted to make it clear that none of the multiplayer is mandatory. If you don't have a consistent internet connection or just want to focus on single-player, that's perfectly fine.

Overall, it seems that Ubisoft has been listening to fan feedback and has worked to improve the game from its predecessor in every way. Although it's unclear how much of an improvement it'll be, we at least know that it'll be a great step in the right direction.
