5. Dead Space
Ah Dead Space: a glorious game that came with a great story too: you play as Issac Clarke, an engineer sent to the planet-cracker ship, the USG Ishimura to repair their communication array. Of course in these horror games nothing is that simple. The ship is infested with monsters and to make matters worse, your girlfriend, Nicole, is stuck on board. The game starts with Issac replaying a video message from her telling her to help her and it then cuts off. Now here's the kicker. It turns out that the Ishimura dug up a "Marker" which is worshiped by a cult known as Unitology. The Marker though, is what caused the whole mess in the first place. It makes people go crazy. Towards the end of the game, Issac replays his transmission from Nicole all the way through this time, only to find out Nicole has been dead the entire time and it was this Marker that was making him see visions of her throughout the ship. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xZxZLdeRMyk
