10 Weird Video Game Concepts That Totally Should've Sucked

6. Catherine

The majority of Catherine plays out as a puzzle-platform adventure/life-sim game, nothing particularly unusual about that. What is strange, however, is that the whole premise of Catherine revolves around one man's infidelity - and the consequences that come with certain actions we take in life. While the puzzle gameplay is of the difficult but rewarding variety, it's the plot that makes Catherine one of the most talked about, and uniquely different, games from recent years. It manages seamlessly blend the impact of real life decisions, the responsibility of finally having to grow up, and the fear of dying young and alone. The engaging story will stick with you for a long time, and may even cause you to question some of the choices you make in your own life.
