Apogee Software released its own fighting game to capitalize off the Mortal Kombat craze. The title was corny enough, wrapped with exotic connotations. As for the game itself? Avoid like the plague.

However, could it be salvaged somewhat by the addition of Barney the Dinosaur, the big purple freak who loves you and hopes you feel similar emotions towards him in exchange?

Stupid question.

Barney is indeed a participant in the bloodshed. His move-set primary consists of unleashing deadly love hearts which explode, spraying blood everywhere and inflicting heavy damage.

In fact, the character isn't even playable without crashing the game at some point. He must have been tossed in last-minute, to which the developers never bothered making him a fully playable character despite including cheats to unlock him.

Others moves Barney could have had might include a bear hug to squeeze all the problems/life out of the enemy. Performing a merry dance in their chest after his “friend” has been beaten to a pulp would also make for a gruesome sight to end a victorious match.
