10 Weirdest Levels Cut Out Of Video Games

9. Call Of Duty: Black Ops II Had A Level Where You Played A Robot

Not content with giving you a succession of human-shaped faceless, mindless drones to play as in the main campaign, developers Treyarch had originally intended to hand the players control as an actual robot in Call Of Duty: Black Ops II. Which presumably would've handled with the same speed and grace as its bipedal cohorts. Now, the Call Of Duty series is one which is famed for putting you, the gamer, in the shoes of soldiers in dramatic, history-changing situations. It's an aspect that's been lost somewhat in later titles, but the intention was always to make these levels €“ which you'd likely never experience in your own life €“ seem €œreal€. God knows what they were thinking with the cut level where you hack into a bomb-disposal robot and then wheel yourself around an enemy encampment, somehow using guns with your pincer-like mechanical hands, then. At least the Nazi zombie levels have some sort of historical basis. Hitler loved zombies.
