10 Worst Final Bosses In Video Game History

2. Paul Serene - Quantum Break

I still can't believe (or accept) just how bad Quantum Break was. Remedy are the guys that brought us the phenomenal Max Payne, after all.

Still, over the course of its time-bending story you're let into the fact that various characters (our main-man Jack Joyce and villain Paul Serene) have somehow found a way to do damage... with time. The physics aren't explored, but cut to the final clash between the pair and Serene does like many final bosses do: Has a sudden surge in power, resulting in this case an entire room of "time-force" coming at you.

How this manifests is by the screen going bright white and you dying instantly, not really knowing what happened or how you could have prevented it. The solution was to run across the room, let Serene have his little tantrum and then return fire, but chances are by the time you'd died a good 20 times in a blur of bad controls and off-putting character escalation, you've already thrown in the towel.
