10 Worst Final Bosses In Video Game History

8. Navarro - Uncharted: Drake's Fortune

Speaking of incredible games ending in the worst way possible, the medium-changing Uncharted perfected how to digitise a Hollywood performance, yet had one of the "video gamey" finales in history.

Literally making it so the path to victory was taking cover in a number of specific spots, you just had to hide behind boxes until Navarro had finished his canned animations and particular chunk of "You're finished!" monologue. Trying to dive between cover, shoot back or otherwise engage in the fight would see him one-shot you, reducing what was once a combat sandbox approach to encounters all the way down to just waiting your turn.

Finally you corner Navarro and have to pick your spot to rush him - something that's anathema to the 'training' you've just had, being you were routed to the spot. Upon reaching him you'll trigger a cutscene where Drake knocks him out in a quick-time event, the final act of defeating him being nothing more than responding to a massive prompt onscreen.

Again, for something with such a Hollywood influence, this was a monumentally flat way to go out.
