10 Worst Levels In Super Mario History

8. Tick Tock Clock - Super Mario 64

Super Mario Games
Nintendo

Super Mario 64 is one of most influential platformers of all time. No one can deny how much it inspired other 3D games. Some would even regard it as the best game ever made.

But let's not pretend that Tick Tock Clock isn't a bloody nightmare. Not only is it the most difficult stage, it is also the most repetitive. Every time you bump into a pendulum or you mistime a jump, you fall allllllll the way to the bottom.

There are two consequences if this happens; either you will die and be forced to climb the tower all over again, or you will hit a lower platform 50ft below and be forced to climb the tower all over again. You can't win!

In Super Mario 64, most courses subtly changes depending on what mission you choose. However, Tick Tock Clock doesn't change regardless of the objective you choose, making the level even more repetitive.

Probably the most frustrating moment is when the little black balls shoot fire at Mario and you do everything in your power to keep him from falling off the platform as he runs around hysterically.
