10 Worst Things Warner Bros. Games Have EVER Done

Worst Things Warner Bros. Has Done
Rocksteady

Founded in 2004, Rocksteady Studios have delivered some serious success for Warner Bros. Games), including - most notably - the Batman: Arkham franchise. But over the years, Warner have failed Rocksteady, failing to address a culture of toxic positivity where issues could not adequately be challenged, and leading to the departure of co-founders Jamie Walker and Sefton Hill at the end of 2022, who had reportedly envisioned Suicide Squad as a looter-shooter.

The subsequent commercial failure of the re-tooled Suicide Squad game in the wake of Walker and Hill's departure has reportedly already damaged the studio, as Warner have used this as an opportunity to cut as much as possible - rather than, you know, looking at what can be improved and making some much-needed changes.

Several rounds of layoffs (per GameRant), this year and last, have seen the studio lose staff from across programming, artistry and quality assurance (with QA down to fewer than half the original team members). Despite the fact that the studio is reportedly working on a new Batman game, this has left the team with a large workload and has, reportedly by senior management’s own admission, significant potential to affect future games’ quality.
