10 Worst Triple-A Games Of The Decade (So Far)
6. Godfall
Despite being a glossy PS5 launch title, Godfall evaporated from the public consciousness in a flash, and for good reason.
This always-online action-RPG felt like a AAA also-ran in every fiber of its being, because nothing in its aesthetics, gameplay, or narrative rose above being a beige facsimile of things we've seen better many times before.
With an emphasis on grind-heavy gameplay but little actual worthwhile incentive to keep playing, Godfall was a so-called "looter-slasher" that left most players putting down the controller after just a weekend or two.
A glorified tech demo - and a buggy one at that - which Gearbox inexplicably had the gall to charge £70 for on launch, Godfall feels like a parody of shiny yet creatively bankrupt blockbuster titles.
Unlike most games on this list, though, Godfall is a genuinely tough game to even remember - everything about it is so bereft of character that it just fades into the periphery.
