3. Giant's Knife - Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time
And you thought the whole "weapons breaking five minutes after you got them" thing started with Breath Of The Wild.
One of the longest quest chains in Ocarina of Time, one that takes you from the beginning of the game almost to the end, across seven in-game years, culminates with you getting one of the most powerful weapons in the entire game: The Giant's Knife. A sword so huge, you can't even hold your shield when using it, you have to hold it with two hands.
Well this'll certainly give ol'Ganon pause before he messes with me! God it just feels so powerful when I swing this around, wonder what happens if I beat it against the wall? Wonder what kind of sick ass sound it makes when it clangs against the-oh... it broke. Like after three hits, tops.
It's a good thing this game doesn't allow you to murder NPC's, because otherwise the Goron you got this from would start really sweating the fact that he's stuck in a hole in a wall.
