10 WORST Video Game Weapons

The way Mario Kart works is that the closer you get to first place, the less useful items you get because, well, why do you need them if you're in first place. Yet, you will always get your hands on a Green Shell, because THEY know it's useless, and YOU know it's useless, so why beat around the bush?

Let's be real, if you get a hold of a Green Shell during a race, you're either going to throw it and forget it, or put it behind you as a one time shield. And even then, if you're in first place, it's not going to provide much protection against the biggest threat to your lead - the Blue Shell. The best thing that the Green Shell can offer is being something a tiny bit more substantial than the coin in Mario Kart 8.

Now, of course, having it here keeps everything balanced. If you think your average game of Mario Kart is chaotic now, just think if every weapon was as game changing as the Blue Shell. However, that does not change the fact that the second you get the Green Shell, you're going to get rid of it. Because what else is there to do with it?
