7. Crown Wars: The Black Prince

Crown Wars: The Black Prince would be an average strategy-based RPGā€¦ if it was released 15 years ago. However, this clunker didn't stand a chance against modern turn-based titles.

Thanks to the rudimentary design, Crown Wars could pass as a mobile game. And yet, everything moves in a jittery manner, as if the engine is struggling to keep up with the barely adequate graphics.

Despite the fact the gameplay highlights the importance of positioning and mixing abilities, every mission feels the same. After deducing the most effective means to vanquish enemies, the challenge quickly dissipates, allowing players to wipe the floor against any brigand with ease.

The cutscenes are jawdroppingly bad, due to the rubbery animation, woeful voice-acting, and non-existent lip-synching. Also, characters' bodies jerk unnaturally when they are struck in combat, as if they exist inside a Looney Tunes cartoon rather than a medieval drama. Even though Crown Wars tries to take its plot seriously, the cutscenes play out like an amateur play.

With so many vastly superior squad-based RPGs out there, there's no reason why anyone should waste their money on this mess.
