10 Worst Video Games Of 2024 (So Far)

6. South Park: Snow Day!

Devil may cry peak of combat
Question LLC

With the success of The Stick of Truth and The Fractured But Whole, a South Park follow-up was guaranteed.

Unlike its predecessors, South Park: Snow Day! utilises 3D graphics, making the world more visually stimulating, while still maintaining the charm of the source material. With more focus on live combat rather than turn-based battles, Snow Day! should've been a hit.

That's why it's heartbreaking to learn this might be the worst South Park game to date (apart from Chef's Luv Shack, of course). The combat falls apart in every regard, since it's repetitive, floaty, and imprecise. The main campaign can be completed in a few hours, making it dramatically shorter than the last two entries.

Not only that, the humour is surprisingly offbrand. Even though Trey Parker and Matt Stone have a gift for biting social commentary, the gags here are toothless and dated. (The NFT jokes fall flat with embarrassing effect.) Though toilet humour has always been South Park’s bread and butter, it doesn’t work if there’s nothing relevant to say.

Since the South Park creators are deeply protective of their creation, it's jarring to see them having direct input in developing this trash.
