10 Zelda Items That Are Immediately Made Pointless After You Get Them
6. Gust Bellows - Skyward Sword
Skyward Sword introduced some interesting concepts in the Legend of Zelda franchise, from the beetle to the Mogma Mitts. However, not every item introduced in this game was a smash hit.
The Gust Bellows are an item you receive in the Lanayru Mining Facility, and are almost never used past this point. The sole purpose of the Gust Bellows is to blow up sand, as well as push certain platforms that are found once in a blue moon throughout the game.
While you do return to each location in the game quite frequently, and therefore you must use sand blowing every time you return to Lanayru Desert, it doesn’t make it a useful item. You never see sand to blow around except in this area, and even then, it does not yield much more than a few rupees.
Outside of the desert, this item is used to push a platform every so often, and maybe to annoy an enemy. It adds virtually nothing to combat, platforming, or puzzle solving in the game, aside from the puzzles found within the Mining Facility.
Skyward Sword did a great job with many different items, and this was definitely not one of the greats.
