10 Zelda Items That Are Immediately Made Pointless After You Get Them

Majora’s Mask is one of the most beloved games in the Zelda series, containing the only plot line that takes place in Termina rather than Hyrule. Not every mask obtained in this game had a useful purpose however.

While some masks in the game transform you into Zora, allow you to run faster, or even stop enemies from attacking you, some of the masks found in this game are outrightly useless.

For example, the Couple’s Mask is obtained through a relatively complicated side quest that involves obtaining another mask called Kafei’s Mask that is only used in this quest. Upon obtaining the Couple’s Mask, you can use it to quell an argument at the Mayor’s Residence in order to gain a heart piece. That’s it.

There are many masks in this game that are only used to obtain a heart piece, which can potentially be useful if you get enough of them.

Going through side quest after side quest to get the masks in question and then doing another side quest to get the heart piece makes it not worth it, especially considering the masks become completely useless after you get them.

Majora’s Mask has many different interesting masks that create fun and compelling gameplay, but they also have some real lousy ones too.
