11 Hotly Anticipated Video Game Sequels That Would Dominate E3
4. Legacy Of Kain
If you're a Legacy of Kain fan - and with a heady mix of Shakespearean dialogue, vampiric lore, magical powers and a city called Nosgoth, how could you not be? - you'll be hyper-aware that a game quite far through development, Dead Sun, was scheduled to release quite some time ago. The project was instead shelved as Crystal Dynamics elected to focus their attention on Tomb Raider, reconciling the world of the LoG franchise to a multiplayer arena shooter. As you do. This far on the name itself still carries a huge amount of weight, as the explorative third-person action-horror template hasn't been done with this much gravitas by any of the copycats since. With voice of Kain, Simon Templeman, saying in 2013 "Hell yeah, more soul reaving would be fun" it seems even the cast themselves are more than up for revisiting this spectacular world. Even spin-offs Blood Omen and Defiance were solid affairs despite their lack of big budget polish - the former being the best power-fantasy this side of Prototype when it came to living out all your blood-sucking enemy-slaughtering ways. Footage of Dead Sun remains online, and even in 2015 it looks like it'd be great fun - surely this has to be released in some form? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IJqsjJ16EsI
