One of the most peculiar additions to BO3 is the Mirror's Edge-style Freerun mode, where players can race through a series of obstacle courses using their thrusters, weapons and wall-running in a perfect symphony. It's an enjoyable mode but far too short (likely because more will be added with DLC), and crucially elides the one make-or-break element: multiplayer. Yes, you are racing against both the game clock and other players via a leaderboard, but wouldn't Freerun be so much more interesting if everyone was competing on the same map? To see a guy run in front of you would make it feel more competitive, and when weapons are thrown into the mix, things could get hilarious and/or frustrating super-fast. As it stands, Freerun feels like an interesting experiment that may or may not endure in future games, but hopefully Infinity Ward might see the potential and just run with it.
