11 Next-Gen Games You Should Be Considering

4. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

the witcher 3 After two critically acclaimed games, The Witcher is making its full console debut with The Witcher 3. Eagerly-awaited by fans of the series, the third installment in the Witcher series looks set to continue the trend of excellence. RPG games are possibly more popular than ever with The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Dark Souls, Kingdom of Amalur, Dragon Age 2, Dragons Dogma and Darksiders II, and that isn't even mentioning the plethora of JRPGS and those on PS Vita. There are also several of these games on the way, but none look more impressive than The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt. The Witcher 3 has a bigger, more open, diverse and unique world than any ever seen in an RPG before. A world that continually evolves based on your actions and the decisions you make, CD Projekt RED have claimed that it is 20% bigger than Skyrim and larger than any other RPG game ever! From vast green forests to huge glaciers and an impressive weather system that can have blistering storms and beautiful sunlight, there are incredibly treacherous parts of the map, and some that can only be accessed by boat. The sheer size and depth of the world is enough to warrant the purchase of the game, but that's only the beginning; it is also set to be the conclusion to the story of the series protagonist, Geralt of Rivia. Regardless of the immense map and the story, the series has great gameplay, and The Wild Hunt seems only to build upon that. Seeing as the previous two games were very well received and successful on PC, and a port for 360, I imagine it will make substantially more from also being built for PS4 and Xbox One, alongside the PC. This is the RPG gamers have been waiting a very long time for, and it's the next-gen game I'm most excited about. The lowest score I could see this game getting is a 9, but I reckon it will do much better than that. Predicted Rating: 9.5 (or higher)
