11 Times Video Game DLC Lost Its Mind
7. Red Dead Redemption - Undead Nightmare
You know what Red Dead Redemption didn’t have enough of? Zombies. Well, that’s what developer Rockstar thought anyway.
Red Dead Redemption is an epic tale of betrayal, family and the changing of time in an American setting. Undead Nightmare takes all those concepts, sticks them in a blender and feeds them to the dog.
Set in a parallel timeline, this sees our beloved protagonist, John Marston, amidst a zombie invasion taking over the American frontier.
What starts off nuts later becomes downright bonkers as you hunt down zombie-fied animals, hunt down legendary undead horses, and blast your way through an infected Wild West.
It shouldn’t work, but it totally does, and elevates an already incredible game higher with a gory, gut-squelching expansion which rivals the main experience in terms of fun.
Any tears that were shed at the end of the emotional journey of the main campaign were soon gone as the evil dead rose and we were called to action, again.
