11 Video Games Destined To Be 2018's Biggest Sleeper Hits

4. Sea Of Thieves

Sea Of Thieves

What was once the laughing stock of Microsoft's upcoming slate of console exclusives, Rare's Sea of Thieves has slowly transformed into one of the most exciting games of the generation.

Allowing players to explore the seven seas as a band of treasure-hunting pirates, the dynamic interplay between gameplay aboard your pirate ship as well as on-land excursions is pretty ambitious, as fights with supernatural skeletons can lead into intense naval warfare against other players after your loot.

There are very few pirate games that have graced the video game world, and even fewer that have been any good, but Rare's title looks to be offering the most definitive take on the genre yet.

Despite getting off to a shaky start, Sea of Thieves could end up being Xbox One's killer app if the developers can convince people to get onboard with its unique vision.
