11 Video Games That'll Hit You Right In The Childhood
4. Street Fighter II
The quintessential beat 'em up, and the one that to this day has had the most sequels and editions in comparison to the likes of Tekken, Mortal Kombat or Virtua Fighter. SF II is another Mario Kart-style creation in that its original formula landed with such a perfect bang that going forward only minor elements needed to be tweaked to keep us all coming back for more. For the sake of sequels and appeasing the fans, even the latest Street Figher IV: Hyper Turbo We Got Rims Edition for the most part plays very similarly to the original in terms of the flow of combat. It's no bad thing though, and of course franchise-devotees will scoff at such a remark, but for the rest of us who always liked to play the game casually, dropping in to thwack a friend with a fireball who insisted on button bashing out that Blanka electrify move, it's still perfect.
