11 Video Games You Won’t Believe Are In Development

Rumours of a new Metal Gear Solid game will not stop.

It was 2019 when these first properly kicked into gear, with Sacred Symbols' Colin Moriarty indicating that a sixth instalment was in development without the input of series creator Hideo Kojima. This was further corroborated in late 2021 when VGC confirmed that that the controversial publisher was planning on ramping up "premium game development" on their biggest franchises, including Metal Gear.

Of course, while this makes business sense - MGS is one of the best known names in the entire industry - the reality is very different. Hideo Kojima to many was Metal Gear, and considering the dramatic split between him and his former publisher, few fans are eager to support the series now he's been ousted.

It's an uphill battle for sure, but does modern Konami have what it takes to pull it off?
