11 Video Games You Won’t Believe Are In Development

4. Resident Evil 4 Remake

Resident Evil 4
Capcom

Rounding out the trio of remakes on this list, Capcom's next instalment in their legendary survival horror series is none other than a reimagining of Resident Evil 4.

The worst kept secret in the industry, the existence of this remake leaked all the way back in 2020, and has seen periodic updates ever since. The story goes, following the success of the Resident Evil 2 remake, Capcom greenlit a similar treatment for the beloved fourth instalment. However, production hit a snag, with development duties changing hands to the same team responsible for Resi 2.

The most recent rumours - courtesy of Fanbyte - suggest that Capcom is reimagining the game to be more horror focused. This includes setting most of the game at night (the original famously opened as Leon arrives at a sinister village during the day), taking inspiration from cancelled versions of Resident Evil 4, alongside expanding the story of side characters like Ada Wong.

To many, Resident Evil 4 remains a perfect game, so it's going to be interesting to see what Capcom changes.
