11 Ways Monolith Should Have Made Shadow Of War

4. A Bigger Arsenal Than Just A Sword And Bow

Middle Earth Shadow Of War
Monolith

Monolith don't need to add too much to Shadow of War's combat system as it might become overwhelming, but the developers should look into adding a few more creative weapons. Currently relying on a sword, a bow and a couple special moves Talion can accomplish with them, there isn't a whole lot you can actually do with the character's limited arsenal.

Sure, the sequel added a few new weapons to spice things up like throwing stars, but they didn't result in any meaningful changes to the combat. There should be other ways to take out orcs rather than hitting them from a distance with arrows or resorting to brute force, and a few more tools could make the stealth system in particular feel more complex.

To stick with what the game does best, you should be able to mess with orcs from the shadows, using weapons to take them out in creative ways. The Arkham games allow you to toy with enemies, and it would add a whole new layer to the Nemesis system if Monolith gave you an arsenal that let you do the same.
