11 Ways Telltale's Batman Is The Best Since Arkham Asylum
7. Actual Procedural Detective Work
Something always bugged me in the Arkham games, especially Arkham Knight. See, Batman is forever known as the 'World's Greatest Detective' from his days under the Detective Comics banner, but in the Arkham games this slowly devolved into flicking on a specific 'vision mode' and having his gadgets do the work instead.
Telltale's version does adhere to the 'hands off' approach seen in Arkham Knight, but lets you piece together various clues to hear Bruce's thoughts on how certain events may or may not have occurred.
It might just be because this is the first episode (the scene you're given is relatively easy to perfect first time), however it apes the likes of L.A. Noire or Frogwares' Sherlock Holmes games in making you feel like you're doing some actual detective work for a change.
