6. Abe Dies - Abe's Oddysee

The Actual Ending: If player character Abe manages to save at least 50 of his Mudokon buddies, then the evil Glukkon Molluck is killed by a bolt of lightning, and Abe is saved by Big Face, teleported to a land where all the Mudokons he saved are waiting in worship. This, of course, sets the stage for Abe's Exoddus.

The Alternate Ending: The bad ending has Abe captured by Molluck and left hanging above a meat grinder while the Mudokons state that Abe never really cared about them. Despite Big Face's protests, they leave Abe to be dropped into the meat grinder, as Molluck laughs at his grotesque end.

Why It's Awesome: If you play Abe's Oddysee without knowing about this ending system, it can serve as a fine punishment for not giving a damn about your fellow Mudokons and trying to breeze through the game without a care in the world. Basically, taking the easy way out nets you a bad ending, and getting the good ending is actually relatively challenging, just as it should be.
