Bioshock Infinite proves that not every jump scare needs a loud noise or a ton of frantic movement to frighten the living Bajesus out of players. The Boy of Silence jump scare is infamous enough that there are even YouTube compilations of live-streamers losing their s*** while suffering through it.

After pulling a lever to open a door, you'll turn around to come face-to-face with the Boy of Silence, who lets out an unsettling noise (but certainly not an overly loud, sharp jump) before disappearing in a flash of light.

This compilation is ultimately proof that just about everyone reacts the same way: letting out an expletive-filled shriek and unloading a comically excessive amount of ammo into the poor Boy.
