12 Big-Budget Video Games That Launched Completely Broken

8. Batman: Arkham Origins

Origins is commonly referred to as the weak link amongst the Arkham series - so much so that people have given up referring to it altogether, instead focusing on the Rocksteady-helmed Asylum, City and upcoming Arkham Knight. One such reason this has become the norm is down to how utterly phoned-in the majority of Origins felt, and it's a notion carried over to the coding side just as much as the bells and Bat-whistles. Whereas former developer Rocksteady would polish and refine their titles to ensure they were utterly perfect, Warner Bros. Montreal ended up releasing Origins with a myriad of stupid bugs, such as not allowing Batman to climb into specific vents to progress through levels, saves corrupting themselves on the 360 version, and just straight-up freezes in certain areas. The worst part though? They didn't show any particular interest in sorting this out, instead issuing a statement that they were 'too busy working on DLC' to fix the game that was already on store shelves.
