12 Biggest Missed Opportunities In Gaming History
2. P.T.
Announced anonymously during an E3 conference, P.T. may have just been a tech demo, but in just a couple of hours of exploration, world-building and outright terrifying scares, this precursor to Silent Hills became the stuff of legend.
And why? Because outside of the immaculate tone, we had both Hideo Kojima and Guillermo del Toro collaborating on all sorts of monster designs and project ideas, alongside The Walking Dead's Norman Reedus heading up the lead role.
After Konami decided they were more interested in Pachinko machines than video games, Silent Hills was cancelled and removed it from the PlayStation Store in the end, meaning this collaboration is doomed to live on in the hard drives of those who downloaded and kept it at the time.
Maybe some day we'll get a Kojima/Del Toro collaboration, but sadly, it will never be under the Silent Hill branding.
