12 Gaming Sequels That Aren't In Development (But Really Should Be)

4. Super Meat Boy 2

Super Meat Boy is in many ways the poster-child for indie gaming, because it helped change the face of the digital-only delivery system from "games that are too rubbish to get proper distribution" to "an affordable means by which developers can cut out the middle man", and the game was a huge success as a result. An old-school platformer in every sense of the word, Super Meat Boy is no doubt the cause of many broken controllers over the years, owing to its incredibly steep difficulty level, though this didn't stop it selling extremely well right out of the gate. Now that most of us are finally done with the game, the next question is - when is Super Meat Boy 2 coming out? A vague Tweet from Team Meat about working on "the next Super Meat Boy" caused much excitement, before it was revealed that they were referring to an iOS version rather than a proper sequel. Roughly 2 million in sales says a lot, that gamers want more of that infuriating, meaty goodness!
