12 Gaming Sequels That Aren't In Development (But Really Should Be)

6. Conker's Other Bad Day

If you ever needed proof that Nintendo didn't just release games for kids, look no further than Conker's Bad Fur Day, one of the gems of the Nintendo 64, a game which flew in the face of every cutesy cliche associated with the company. Though Conker was by all appearances an adorable squirrel, he was also a foul-mouthed, horny alcoholic, and as such the game was geared more towards adult gamers, which combined with poor marketing and a release at the tail-end of the N64's life, caused it to be a commercial dud. In 2005, a remake, Conker: Live and Reloaded, was released on the Xbox and proved to be modestly successful, making it clear there was an audience for this gleefully profane character. At one point, prior to Rare's acquisition by Microsoft in 2002, they were working on a sequel called Conker's Other Bad Day, which would follow Conker through his inept period as King as he is forced to go on the run. Rare employees hinted that it would include even more movie references, and yet another excrement-based enemy, by way of a "massive space poo". Please, please finish and release this one, whether as a digital-only indie or a full game.
