Ready At Dawn have already proven themselves as quality developers with handheld iterations of God of War on their resume, and now they're getting their chance to craft their own baby and a potential system seller for the PlayStation 4. Intriguingly, The Order: 1886 also has quite a bit of originality going for it. Taking place in 1886 - who would have guessed - the game features a Victorian era environment along with a brooding Gothic style, setting the stage for players to battle werewolves and human enemies. There's also guns which may come across as a bit of a cop-out, but the gameplay reveal trailer seems to insist that there's more behind them than meets the eye. Apparently, each firearm is meant to be locked to a specific wielder, making the weapons feel more like ancient relics if anything. The graphics are absolutely stunning too, bearing an almost CGI-like quality feel to them during gameplay. At times it's actually hard to discern what is a cut-scene and what is gameplay. Simple interactions such as entering cover don't even feel like a telegraphed animation, but instead have a natural flow that blends into the gameplay. The game also has a cinematic vibe to it that screams Uncharted in the Victorian era. That's enough to sell a game right there. Are you interested in any of these upcoming original games?
