12 HUGE Video Games Still To Come In 2020
5. WWE 2K Battlegrounds
After years of 2K running its wrestling franchise into the ground until 2019's instalment fell apart completely, it saw record numbers of developers leave in "double digits".
The result was a forced rescaling of how 2K as a publisher approach such a valuable IP. To give clearly struggling developers Visual Concepts some much-needed breathing room, we're now getting "Battlegrounds", a lower-tier wrestling game with exaggerated character models and OTT moves.
It's very much in the vein of 2011's WWE All-Stars, but if this can usher back in an era of Def Jam wrestling games and all things arcade sports, I'll cherish it regardless.
