DLNA is a relatively niche aspect of the PS3 that many people have no idea about, but basically, it's a way to allow the console to connect to another media server in your home by way of the Internet. As such, if you've got, say, MP3s or a movie on your hard drive, you can stream it from your PC to your PS3 via the web (assuming you use a compatible file format), which is of huge importance to those who perhaps have their PC in another room away from their console: it allows the PS3 to become the media center it needs to be in this day and age. No such support is included for the PS4, though after hearing the public outcry, they have promised that it will be added in a future update. Again, it's a basic feature that should have been available from day one, so the sooner it's fixed, the better.
