12 Major Video Game Sequels That Must Be Announced In 2016

10. Star Wars: The Force Unleashed III

When the only Star Wars-themed product on the market is the money-grabbing Battlefront, you know something's up. In fact, perhaps it speaks to the opening sentiment from my intro, but why on Earth aren't there more Star Wars games across the board? The Force Awakens could sell the air itself right now, yet the only game where you can play as Rey, Finn and co. is... Disney Infinity. Perhaps Disney are charging way more than Lucas ever did? Who knows. Back to a game that would benefit massively from being on newer consoles though, and Force Unleashed springs to mind. Its physics-based item-throwing mayhem was always custom-built to strain processors, but following glorified DLC pack that was TFU 2, the series has all but died off completely. Now, here's a thought. As it stands right now, Starkiller is no longer the name of Darth Vader's former apprentice, and instead is the large planet-cannon from The Force Awakens. Could - and just go with this for a second - the next Force Unleashed actually focus on Rey, or perhaps Kylo Ren? We're in desperate need of TFA tie-ins, the titles are very similar, Starkiller as a person has been retconned out of the ongoing mythology, and depending on how powerful Rey or Kylo's abilities turn out to be in Episode VIII, could make either of them a perfect fit for a spin-off.
