8. Noob Saibot - Mortal Kombat Franchise

Noob Saibot is one of the characters on this list who hasn't only been hated in one game, but across an entire series. Debuting in the second Mortal Kombat, old Noob was kind of a joke, a badass, palette swapped hidden ninja character whose name was made up of the names of the two lead developers spelled backwards.

He was powerful as all hell though, and far from a joke for anyone unlucky enough to have to fight him. Originally he was one of those characters who simply wipes out the health bar with only a couple of simple moves, and even the smallest combo could flip a match on its head.

Instead of the devs shying away from this, Noob continued to rain brutality down on players throughout his fighting career. In particular he caused issues in MK 9 when his special moves became a dream come true for spammers. Also in that reboot he had a Fatality where he'd split your character in two, vertically, just to add insult to injury.

His return in MK 11 once again saw the ninja court controversy, boasting easily chained combos that could annihilate other players and a Fatal Blow that'd decimate the health bar. Hell, he was so overpowered, players were even abusing his A.I. to breeze through the tough-as-hell Towers without actually having to do anything.
