12 Most Memorable Moments From PS4's First Year

9. PS Plus Defines Value For Money

One of the major wins for the PS4 over its main rival the Xbox One is that it really makes having a paid PlayStation Plus membership feel worth the money. Compared to Microsoft's Games with Gold service, which to date features only a small number of Xbox One games, it's just no contest. Every month sees the arrival of 2 or 3 new games for each of the PS3, PS4 and PSVita, with several being Cross-Buy between platforms. The PS4 games are often newly-released indie titles (this month it's Secret Ponchos and Titan Attacks), and on occasion AAA fare also (this month it's the brilliant Injustice: Gods Among Men), all for the mere cost of a monthly subscription. There is, of course, the fact that if a PS+ subscription lapses, the games will no longer be available until the sub is renewed, which isn't the case with Games with Gold, but given the insane value of the deal, why would you want to cancel? Even if money's tight, resubscribe a few months later and voila, your access is restored.
