12 Upcoming Video Game Movies That Could Destroy Tomb Raider
10. Uncharted
Uncharted is an especially intriguing point of comparison to Tomb Raider, if only because the new Tomb Raider reboot franchise draws significant stylistic cues from Naughty Dog's masterful action-adventure series, which is itself somewhat indebted to the earlier Tomb Raider games and, of course, the Indiana Jones movies.
An Uncharted film is a no-brainer concept and has been in development for around a decade, with David O. Russell famously being attached to helm for quite some time before departing the project.
Uncharted has since been retooled as an origin story for Nathan Drake, with Tom Holland set to play a teen version of the adventurer for wildly inconsistent filmmaker Shawn Levy (the Night of the Museum franchise).
There are definitely obstacles to tackle here, and Levy's involvement raises some serious eyebrows, but all Uncharted has to be is a more energetic, less bloated version of Tomb Raider and it's already winning.
