12 Upcoming Video Games Blatantly Trying To Rip Gamers Off

9. Dead Or Alive 5: Last Round Launches With No Online Multiplayer On PC

The Game: The third and final update of 2012's Dead or Alive 5, which could itself be considered an attempt to shakedown gamers on principle. Why do so many fighting games have so many versions!? Why It's A Ripoff: While the game is still releasing as planned for Sony and Microsoft consoles next week, the PC version has been delayed until the end of March, with the added kicker being that the game will launch with no online multiplayer. Team Ninja has promised to patch it in within the first three months of its release, but is that really worth believing? And in this day and age, how the hell can they not have such an important feature ready to go? Madness. Will People Buy It Anyway?: Honestly, there's not much of a market for Dead or Alive on the PC anyway, and the lack of online functionality is only going to hurt it more. If people have consoles, hopefully they'll stick to that version rather than risk being deprived permanently.
